Identification & Location

The Interstage Air-Bleed Actuator is located on the right side on the compressor housing.

System Design

At low speeds the Interstage Air-Bleed system prevents engine surging. The interstage air-bleed actuator connects mechanically to the compressor bleed band. It opens & closes the bleed band assembly upon input from the Fuel Control Unit.
